The purpose of the inbox is to present transactions to you for review, so you can tell us how to treat these in your accounts.

Our AI will do it's best to predict the treatment, start date and which account to post the other side of the transaction to, for you - but you can edit these easily if it's not quite right. The predicted treatment will appear with a sparkle next to it like this:

and if you agree, you can simply click the Add to Schedule button. Otherwise, make any changes needed using the drop down options, before adding the transaction to your schedule:

Note: Mayday works whether you post your transactions to the P&L and defer / prepay out to the balance sheet, or if you post them to the balance sheet and release to the P&L. The system will detect which way the posting needs to go automatically!

Alternatively, you can create a custom schedule which can be used again in the future. If you choose "+ Create New Schedule" you will see on screen instructions guiding you through the process. See this article for a more in depth explanation. Once created you can choose to add this release schedule to any transaction you like across both Prepayments and Deferred Revenue.

Once you are happy with all of the details, simply click Add to schedule and you're all done!
