Easy Month End lets you upload a spreadsheet as the support for each account you're reconciling. If you've already uploaded your spreadsheets using the bulk upload and now need to swap one out for an updated version, this article explains what happens and how to do it.
Before you re-upload
Running the bulk upload a second time won't replace a spreadsheet that's already attached to an account. To swap in an updated spreadsheet, you first need to remove the one that's already there (steps below), and then upload the new one.
Why your new upload isn't coming through
When you run a bulk upload, the spreadsheet is attached to every account included in that upload. If you run the bulk upload again later, Easy Month End only attaches the new spreadsheet to accounts where you've already removed the old one. Any account that still has the first spreadsheet attached keeps it, so the figures from your new spreadsheet won't appear there.
The usual sign this has happened: after re-uploading, the Reconciliation Balance (the box that shows the total pulled from your spreadsheet) still shows 0, or hasn't updated to the new figure.
How to replace the spreadsheet on an account
Open Easy Month End and go to the reconciliations screen, where your balance sheet accounts are listed.
Click the account you want to update. A panel opens on the right-hand side, showing the spreadsheet currently attached to that account.
Next to the spreadsheet's name, click the ... (three dots) to open its menu.
Click Remove. This takes the old spreadsheet off the account.
Upload your new spreadsheet. You can either upload it directly onto this account in the side panel, or run the Bulk Reconcile upload again.
Replacing several accounts at once
If you want to use the bulk upload to replace the spreadsheet on more than one account, remove the old spreadsheet from each of those accounts first (step 4 above). Once they're all removed, run the bulk upload again and it will attach your new spreadsheet to them.
