Note: The contacts page is currently in Beta. Reach out to use via the in-app chat if you'd like to try it out!

The Contacts page allows you to create, view and modify the Contacts in each org within your group. Once you've chosen an org to be Primary, Mayday HQ compares every other org to that Contacts in the Primary and shows you where they align and where they differ.

In the above screenshot:

  • "Adidas" is consistent across the group

  • "Airwallex" only exists in the primary entity

  • "Amazon" exists in two orgs, but some of the data is inconsistent, so it is being flagged

We can create and edit contacts in a number of ways from this screen:

  • We can click the red plus icon to create a single contact:

  • We can create a contact in all the entities it's missing from:

  • We can update a contact where some of the information is missing or inconsistent:

  • We can also edit a contact in the primary org, which will update it in all the other orgs with that contact:

Clicking the "Save" button in the bottom left-hand corner will submit all the changes to Xero.

Creating new Contacts

You can create a new contact in every org using the button in the top-right corner:

Bank Accounts

HQ will notify you where a contact's bank account details differ across the group:

If you edit the primary contact and save, Mayday will copy the bank account details from the primary contact to all the other orgs.

For security reasons, Mayday does not allow you to edit the bank details for a contact in HQ - you must set them in Xero, and then you can sync them across the group using Mayday. This ensures a correct audit trail in Xero, and that only users who are permitted to change bank details are able to do so.

Note: Mayday stores an encrypted copy of the bank details saved in Xero, it never stores the raw bank details themselves. This allows us to compare across orgs whilst maintaining the security of your data.
