What does a partial sync mean?

Information on why a partial sync in Mayday may have occured

Written by Andrea Sellers

Sometimes we may notify you that we have only been able to complete a partial sync of your data. This means that either 1 (or more) of your sources has failed to sync or potentially your Recharger google sheet has failed to sync. So, not all of your data has been updated at once.

Why do partial syncs occur?

This can happen for many reasons:

  • An issue with connecting to the Xero API to get data from your Xero Organisations

  • An issue with connecting to the Intuit API to get data from your QuickBooks Companies

  • An API rate limit may have been reached, this means Mayday has to wait a little bit before trying to sync data again

  • Data my have been entered in an unexpected way

  • An unexpected issue on our side

How to fix partial syncs

In order to correct this, simply re-sync using the Sync button in the left hand menu.

Please note that sometimes you may need to wait and re-try later in the day as if it is a rate limit issue, Mayday will need to wait to make calls to get your data from Xero or QBO.

If the problem persists contact us either via intercom or at support@getmayday.com
