How to create new Tracking Categories and Options

Using Mayday HQ to create new Tracking Categories and Options across the group

You can use Mayday HQ to create new tracking categories and options across the group all in one go, so you no longer need to go in and out of each Xero file and update them one by one.

Xero has a limit of only two active Tracking Categories at a time. When the Primary Org has less than 2, you can use Mayday HQ to create a new one. This will also be created in every other org which has room to create a new Tracking Category.

Simply click the Create new button and input the required name, then save your changes:

For an existing Tracking Category, you can create a new Tracking Option in every Org which has that category, using the Add new option button here:

Clicking "Save Tracking Categories" will write the changes back to Xero.
